Excellent observations.

I am a hobbyist, and therefore NOT working on a 'mission-critical' project, but I do enjoy learning Python/Django, and having all my deployment problems solved.

Your take on the datastore reflects your practical experience, and I enjoyed your survey of the issues the Group is struggling with.

It is actually enjoyable to be present at the birth of a new technology, and to watch the App Engine evolve and address the problems we are discovering.

I'm looking forward to the improvements experienced developers will bring to the App Engine. Hopefully so it can truly become what we need in order to allow the world of Internet applications to take the next step in its growth, comparable to the change from locally hosted email to web-based email.
