Maybe a really good seal for baking soda?  Most Indian spices are stored in metal cans for just this reason.

		<description>The baking soda will pick up the scent of anything it is near.  You may like curry flavored chocolate chip cookies.  I keep my baking soda box in a ziploc bag.

Also, baking soda is a mild base, which makes it good for cleaning things, which is why you have the big old box.</description>
